| It is now or never, we must capture the moment |
hello all, this is my first blog entry, and it
won't be my last. because the last close to eight
years have been such a complete and utter
disaster . not only for America , but for so many
parts of the world that we have influence over my
blog will be focused upon what we can do to make a
difference in not repeat the same terrible
mistakes in this upcoming election.
I am not going to repeat and make a long lists of
why this administration is a nightmare. if you
can figure that out for yourself . then we have
much bigger problems than how we change. I
recently read a book called "the conscience of a
liberal" by Paul Krugman. an incredible work, it
gave us . all of my feelings , legitimate backup
with hard facts. to put it into a nutshell, the
movement conservatives in this country , through
racial fear and hatred, greed and the desire for
power and to oppress have made America into the
terrible mess. but these people and their ideas
have not even got started yet. if they had their
way there would be no public schools . no public
hospitals , no public anything. we have seen what
privatization is done and deregulation. they have
brought us Enron, Halliburton and a host of other
thieving companies that have ripped off the
treasury and/or the people of this nation. the
conservatives claimed the moral high ground . yet
have consistently stolen elections destroyed the
rules of Congress, and now their mouthpieces on
right-wing radio have been telling people to break
election rules.
By using the fear of race the right-wing has
gotten poor whites to vote against their best
interests , time and time again. I don't know if
the American military or the American financial
system can take much more of this. But we can
make a difference.
We MUST make a difference. WE ALL NEED TO VOTE
DEMOCRATIC. We need to get rid of the right wing,
corporate fat cats who care NOTHING FOR US. This
is YOUR FUTURE, your CHILDREN'S FUTURE and your
GRANDCHILDREN'S FUTURE. The war has already cost
over $1,000,000,000,000 (TRILLION) that China has
mostly funded. Our Grandchildren will be paying
for this.But the richest of the rich get huge tax
breaks. Is this fair? McCain will not change a
thing. why should this illegal war be on the
backs of future generations? with the money we
have wasted in Iraq , we could fix Social Security
and Medicare with a fixed America's infrastructure
we could have done a wonderful thing for the
Healthcare system , but instead , the rich are
getting richer and the poor are getting poorer
proved in this recent bank and mortgage debacle .
just proves that the government is not on our side
so what can you do? like I said register to vote.
register your friends and family to vote. your
neighbors , you can take some time ago to old
folks homes and help hem to register. volunteer
to drive people to the election , make sure you
get off that day , and be a voter taxi. we cannot
let this chance slip through our hands. we cannot
let John McCain , and old man from the old guard ,
who is an ultraconservative, and a warmonger
attack Iran. so don't just sit there and complain
register to vote and talk about it . you mail your
friends . call your friends talk to people to
store . just because this is America doesn't mean
things , automatically get better . the right lane
and the rich don't want to get better for us. and
read the book "the contscience of a liberal"
